We'll never be Royals

I placed this crown on my head today. As the window light hit its unique stones and curves , it shined over the room and created beautiful reflections on my bedroom floor. I looked out of the window of my castle and saw another Queen. She waved at me in the most dignified way. After she finished brushing her long blonde hair, she took her crown and sword and went out to conquer her day. I went back to my mirror and although the crown was heavy, I stood straight and felt powerful. But darling, always remember when I say womanpower it's not for diminishing your masculinity. And when I say black power it's not for downgrade your beautiful white skin. It's just the fact that as a black woman in this patriarchal kingdom leaded mostly by white kings and knights, I have managed to survive. And no darling, I don't need your permission to grace that.
